Community Mentorship Project

About Community Mentorship Project

EREC has received funding for a small project up to March 2012 from Enfield Council to support and mentor BME Women’s organisations.  The purpose of the funding is to build the capacity of selected organisations so that they can increase the support they currently provide to their members and service users who are seeking work.

The first part of the programme for organisations capacity building is nearing completion and the second part - individual capacity building aimed at jobs seekers has commenced. This   training will enable individuals to build on the existing skills and further develop their knowledge and confidence. They will also obtain assistance and support from JOBsnet in their search for employment.

EREC may be able to offer some assistance to individuals attending our training programme with childcare and travel costs.

Enfield Jobsnet is the councils own job brokerage service and has constantly delivered above target outputs since it’s inception in 2006.

Jobsnet is unable to offer assistance if:

  • You do not live in the borough of Enfield.
  • You are with any Jobcentre Plus training scheme.
  • You are employed and working 16 hours or more per week.
  • You  are currently working through an agency
  • You are on any employment support programmes.
  • You are not eligible to work in UK and access to public funds.

If you are a women seeking assistance with your job search and fit the criteria, please contact one of our partner organisations below or EREC at 020 8373 6271/6272.
